Man, that was unbelievable. Dave Nourie has to be one of the best dudes to ever ride. To see him out there riding is very inspirational. I remember years ago Wilkerson always talking about getting back into vert a bit. Looks like he’s doing it. Nobody will ever beat the first generation. Even Marty was there. Man, that is some true sickness there.
Josh White is still around. Last time I talked to Scotty Freeman, he said he’s like a manager of a warehours or something. He likes snowboarding, and may creep out soon. Martin also is still out there. Seems all the dudes from the day are still cool. How cool is that? Nice to know i’m no the only one who still loves BMX..
Yo ed, take the grumpiness someplace else. Everyone was having a great time and the sessions were as positive as it gets. Corey’s line didn’t snake anyone and I hope he rides the place as well as he does since he lives down the street. The cheers when he finally cleaned the line proves how great the sessions were. I don’t think there was one person that didn’t leave the weekend without a smile on their face and fired up to ride more. Thanks again to Steve for getting this together.
I never said Corey snaked anyone. Even Steve Swope said this was for them and the new school could do something like that for themselves. Watch the video on WATCHBMX. I met Corey back in 96 or 97 when he lived in florida, when he was no one in this sport. He’s all about himself and showin off to steal the spotlight. Done!
Nasty should almost be considered old school. That dude has paid his dues and still rips big time. If some of those mid school guys show up and show respect, why not. Sure it would be great for just real old schoolers, but if K Rob and Nasty show up, what you going to do? They are stoke.
Watched the video, didn’t really need to since I was there having a great time like everyone else leaving all the drama behind. Everyone one there was invited and welcomed with open arms. I am a modern day rider, but I have been on a bike since the 80′s. I don’t designate myself anything other than a guy that rides a bike and that is what this weekend was about. A bunch of older guys out riding their bikes. Attitudes like yours is what ruins it for everyone. King of Pipeline, truth.

I would have felt like kid again if I were there. What ever happened to Martin Aparijo and Josh White? Can anyone answer this?

John Ker still looks the same as he did in Plus! 25 years ago. That’s either very cool or very scary.
